Roundtable -- Scholar's Corner Discussion List for Theology & Culture from a Christian perspective.

About Roundtable
English (USA)

The Roundtable is a place for respectful discussion of current events, critical issues, and theological ideas from a Christian perspective. The Apostle's Creed and the Nicene Creed form the basic parameters for discussion. Open debate is allowed and encouraged, but not personal attacks. Discussion of articles, questions about, and issues raised by the Scholar's Corner web site are encouraged.

The goal of the list is the search for truth, wisdom, and understanding in order to know our Lord Jesus Christ more intimately. The knowledge of Jesus Christ should cause us to love one another more deeply. Since "God is Love," God's love is the underlying principle in our discussions, and for that reason, an open and charitable attitude towards other's opinions and ideas is required so that each person may be granted a fair hearing, rather than summary dismissal.

However, since this is a Christian Mail List, while genuine inquiry is encouraged, open and insistent advocacy of occult ideas or personal crusades for questionable doctrines will not be allowed. Those actions which constitute reason for removal from the list shall be at the moderator's discretion [usually after fair warning has been given].

The list is unmoderated for content for initial posts. The moderator's main tool of enforcement is removal from membership. Illegal activities, like slander, spamming, and racial slurs, e.g., are strictly forbidden and will cause a member to be removed from this list without warning.

We welcome all to the table who can embrace this purpose: that we may "all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fulness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ," (Ephesians 4:13-15, NIV).
