I am one of the organizers of www.FreedomConference2009.com
We wanted to take advantage of the spotlight on Pittsburgh for the G20
Summit on the week of Sept 21-25  and educate Pittsburghers as to what
the G20 is, and why its agenda must be opposed (in a peaceful way).
We also wanted to avoid those rent-a-mob downtown protestors, so we
are holding the 3 hour event, two days before the G20, on Tuesday
Sept. 22 at Soldiers and Sailors Hall in Oakland.

G20 Fact Sheet

The G20 will hold its next summit in Pittsburgh on Thursday and Friday
Sept 24 and 25.
A grassroots coalition will hold a Freedom Conference, an alternative
to the G20, on Tuesday Sept 22.
Freedom Conference 2009 is an indoor, peaceful, sit-down educational
event held 2 days before the G20.
What is the G-20?
The G20 (Group of Twenty) established in 1999, is made up of the
finance ministers and central bank governors of 19 countries plus the
EU (European Union). This includes U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben
Bernanke, and U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner. The G20
represent the countries with the largest GDP (Gross Domestic Product).
Together these 20 nations produce 87% of world's GDP. Representatives
of the IMF (International Monetary Fund) and the World Bank also
attend the G20 summits. Note that the G20 is composed of un-elected
International Bankers, but sometimes, the elected leaders of these 20
nations show up and pretend to run things. The elected leaders will
attend the
Pittsburgh summit.

No audio recording of the G20 meetings are allowed
, but after the meetings, the politicians do hold press conferences.
When the event is over, the group issues a joint "communiqué" to
summarize the summit. NPR (National Public Radio) reported on the
April 2009 G20 summit - "So far, we've just been kind of watching the
body language. We get video of these group sessions that are underway,
but they're not on the record. We're not getting audio. We can't tell
what people are saying. It's a little bit like being a fly positioned
on a far wall of the room."

The dollar should be replaced with a new global currency
- stated a 9/7/2009 United Nations report. In this radical report, the
UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) suggested that the
present system, under which the dollar acts as the world's reserve
currency, should be subject to a wholesale reconsideration. Although a
number of countries, including China and Russia, have suggested
replacing the dollar as the world's reserve currency, the UNCTAD
report is the first time a major
multinational institution has posited such a suggestion.

Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister of the U.K, wants the IMF to become the "
global central bank", like a World Federal Reserve.

What does all this mean to you, your job, your 401k, your liberties?
The speakers at the Freedom Conference 2009 are knowledgeable about
Federal Reserve and the G20 agenda and are not afraid to tell you the
truth. This is scary news but we should recall the words of Patrick
Henry - "For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am
