For more information about AUSOM please call our Administration Office on 1300 360 813, email us at office at ausom.net.au or visit out website at http://www.ausom.net.au/ MEETINGS DAY - Saturday, December 1, 2007 Members and visitors attend Box Hill Institute, Building 8 Elgar Campus on the corner of Whitehorse and Elgar Roads (Melway 47B9) on the first Saturday of each month (except January) between 9.30am and 5.00pm for a wide variety of meetings on the use of the Apple Macintosh computer in digital photography, iPods, home movies, genealogy, finance, databases, the Internet, Excel, Word, networking and many other topics. The location is convenient to tram and train and there is ample parking. The AUSOM Video Festival, introduced by Roger Threlfall, and showcasing the work of Digital Video SIG members over a two hour period. This is part of Meetings Day at the Box Hill Institute (see above) and will commence in Rooms 213-215 in Building 8 at 1pm. TOPIC: Making Cards with Pages Steve Cooper will demonstrate how easy it is to use Apple's 'new' word processing and page layout application to make attractive cards from your photos or other graphics. TOPIC: Windows on your Mac Dick Johnson will demonstrate the use of BootCamp to enable the use of the Windows operating system on your Intel Mac. AUSOM COMMITTEE OF MANAGEMENT MEETINGS The AUSOM Committee of Management (CoM) usually meets on the Wednesday night two weeks before the next Main Meeting (this is usually, but not always the the 2nd Wednesday of each month) at 247 Flinders Lane Melbourne Victoria Australia. The Campus is located quite close to the intersection of High St and Chapel St, Prahran and easily accessible by various forms of Public Transport (tram stop right out the front, a train station only a few minutes walk away) and there are plenty of options for driving a car and parking close by.
