He'll explain how he comes up with the concept behind the titles and their content; then how he designs and creates the labels and marketing material. Finally, Nicholas will will demonstrate how he uses the Bravo Disc Publisher to physically burn and print the final disc ready for sale. All the techniques Nicholas will demonstrate and explain can be used to create a single unique disc or hundreds of identical discs. Members and visitors attend Swinburne Univeristy, Prahran Campus (High Street, Prahran) on the first Saturday of each month (except January) between 9.30am and 5.00pm for a wide variety of meetings on the use of the Apple Macintosh computer in digital photography, iPods, home movies, genealogy, finance, databases, the Internet, Excel, Word, networking and many other topics. The location is convenient to tram and train and there is ample parking. Multimedia SIG - Tuesday, 13 May 2008 1: DES - Selecting the Correct Paper Stock & Inks Daniela Barth from DES Pty Ltd will talk about how to select the correct paper stock and inks for each job and why this is important to anyone who prints any material. 2: Designwyse - Storage & Backups We all think we have sufficient backups ... but we probably don't! Brendon Field from Designwyse will speak from first hand experience about the importance of proper backup procedures. After the massive fire that destroyed Designwyse's premises last year, they learnt some valuable and hard lessons, which he'll share with us. The Macintosh Multimedia Group [3MG] is a joint venture between AUSOM Inc and iMug. It meets on the second Tuesday of each month at the Balwyn Baptist Church (cnr Whitehorse and Parring Roads, Melway 46 F8) from 7.00pm to 10pm (doors open at 7pm).
