Monthly meeting - Saturday, 2 May 2009

Annual General Meeting: 12 noon. Election of Office Bearers and  
Committee of Management. General business.

Main presentation: Ivan Radywonik will present an array of his useful  
hints and tips for Apple users. Ivan's hints and tips feature in his  
regular column in AUSOM News and on AUSOM's series of podcasts.

The meeting runs between 9.30am and 5.00pm, with the keynote  
presentation starting at 1.00 pm.

There's something for every Mac, iPod, and iPhone user. AUSOM  
publishes its own monthly printed magazine and hosts about 20 special  
interest groups. Member services include training CDs and DVDs; an  
online discussion forum with answers to everything on computing and  
beyond; book and disk libraries; phone help by experts in their  
respective fields; discounts on CDs and books; and lots more!

Multimedia SIG - Tuesday, 12 May 2009

The Macintosh Multimedia Group [3MG] is a joint venture between AUSOM  
Inc and iMug. It meets on the second Tuesday of each month at the  
Balwyn Baptist Church (cnr Whitehorse and Parring Roads,  Melway 46  
F8) from 7.00pm to 10pm (doors open at 7pm).

Retirees & Others SIG - Wednesday, 13 May 2009
Topic and speaker:

1.  The first part of the meeting will be given to Questions and  
Answers from the floor.

2.  Dawn and Ron Bean will show their set-up for covert nature  
photography in the backyard and some of the results.

This group meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the Balwyn  
Baptist Church (cnr Whitehorse and Parring Roads,  Melway 46 F8) from  
10am to 12noon.

AUSOM Committee of Management Meetings
The AUSOM Committee of Management (CoM) usually meets on the Wednesday  
night two weeks before the next Main Meeting (this is usually, but not  
always the the second Wednesday of each month) at 247 Flinders Lane,  
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

If you'd like to submit information for the Committee's consideration,  
please email com at ausom.net.au or write to AUSOM Committee, 247  
Flinders Lane, Melbourne 3000.  If the submission is received by the  
Monday evening prior to the Committee Meeting, it can be placed on the  
agenda for consideration at that meeting, otherwise it may be held  
over until the next meeting.

Disc of the month: Presentation Assistant
This month we have a collection of 33 applications and resources to  
help get the most out of your Keynote Presentations. They cover pre  
and post production aspects, presentation aids and a couple of bonus  
items as well.

The Disc of the Month goes on sale on the first Saturday of each month  
at our Monthly Meeting. It can be purchased a the Saturday meeting or
