[ccpops] Mozart's Requiem Concert Information

Hello Everyone!

I do hope that your student has shared this information with you, but just in case:

Permission slips need to be returned to Mr. Brown or Mr. Sobchenko.

Tuesday's rehearsal (April 1st) will be at St. Paul's. Students should arrive at CCHS at 5:45pm for a 6:00pm departure. We should return to CCHS around 9:15 or so.

Busses will leave at 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 3 for the concert. Chorus students msut be in 'concert dress' - Full tuxedo (black shoes, dark socks) for the males and the long black dress (comfortable black shoes, nude hose and NO JEWELRY - except for small earrings) for the females.

If you wish your child to come home with you after the concert rather than taking the bus home, a note from the parent must be given to Mr. Brown by Wednesday.

Students must eat before arriving at school (No feed the kids for this event) and should bring their own water bottle, please.

Tickets will be sold before and after the rehearsal on Tuesday (find me near the busses!)and at the door on the night of the concert. If you would like me to hold tickets for you, give me a call (369-4406). (My email is NOT working, so you must phone me!)Tickets are $10.00 each. Seating is unreserved.

Finally, we are supporting St. Paul's outreach program which offers help to homeless adults (mostly male.) Molly Molloy Ehrlich is managing this for CCPOPS. We have asked the students to bring to school: Either one gently used man's sweater or sweatshirt OR one multi-pair package of men's socks OR one multi-pack package of men's underwear OR one multi-item package of disposable razors OR three tubes of chapstick OR one gallon ziplock bag containing travel sizes of each - soap, shampoo, handcream, toothbrush and toothpaste.(Items from complimentary airline bags would be fine.)

Students should put contributions in the marked containers in the Orchestra Room and the Chorus Room. We would like all donations to be made by 4:00pm on Thursday, April 3 so that we can organize them for distribution. (St. Paul's has no storage space.)
