[ccpops] Special Town Meetings

Hello Everyone!

I just want to be sure that you are aware that special town meetings 
have been called in our communities to address the budgetary shortfall. 
Concord citizens will be meeting on August 11, while Carlisle citizens 
will come together on August 12.

Hopefully, you have been able to keep up with the situation through the 
local papers. If, like me, you are out-of-town for the summer, Concord 
School Committee Member Becky Shannon's newsletter explains what has 
happened and the ramifications. You may access this newsletter via 
<Bshan96880 at aol.com>. I am in no way endorsing Ms Shannon, and will 
ensure that CCPOPS remains apolitical in our mission. It does seem 
appropriate, however, to help notify townspeople of these special Town 
Meetings. Thank you for your attention and I hope you are enjoying some 
R & R this summer.
