Dear Parents and Friends,
As you know, I have been working towards my administration degree for the
last two years in the hopes of growing my career as an educator. I want to work
at an administrative level where I can use my talents and energy to further
advance the education of students.
Natick Public School district is in the process of creating a new position
for the coordinator of their Art, Music and Drama programs. It is an
exciting and intriguing idea; a new coordinator whose job will primarily entail
furthering the field of arts, music and drama in public education. I was
offered, and accepted the position of Director of Fine and Performing Arts in the
Natick School District. I will begin working in Natick in the fall. This is a
somewhat long explanation that can be summed up by saying I am leaving CCHS
for a new career in administration.
My time at Concord-Carlisle Regional High School has been wonderful. We
have had quite a run in the last six years. I think about all the shows, the
concerts, trips and events we did and I want to thank all of you for
supporting me in these endeavors. I will never again know a more dedicated group of
parents and community members than I have found in Concord. I am excited to
start my new career but I am already feeling the loss of everything here. I
loved working here and I will remember this job as a really special time in my
life. Thank you for everything.
I am sending this email as I simultaneously tell the choruses of my plans
for the future. I wanted you to hear this from me and be ready to help explain
to the kids why I am leaving and what career opportunities are all about.
Plans are in the works to begin a search for a new choral director; I will
assist in that search. I will continue to plan for next year and make sure that
the calendar, facilities and budget are ready for whoever fills the
position.
Again, I can not thank you enough for all the things we achieved while I
worked at CCHS. I hope you can understand my reasons for leaving and I hope
with all my heart that we can find someone who will continue to raise the
standards and provide the opportunities for the students. I have fond memories of
teamwork that led to great achievements and profound learning.
With much admiration and gratitude,
Chuck Brown
