Thank you to everyone who helped out with A Time to Shine. The
cafeteria was transformed to a festive venue, the entertainment was
outstanding, the food was incredible, the raffles were varied and
interesting (and very lucrative for some!) and the overall mood of the
evening was relaxed and happy. There were so many people involved in
organizing and helping with decorations, food, publicity, set-up,
clean-up, tickets sales, raffles, donations of prizes, etc., etc. - I
can't possibly list everyone but you should know that your efforts were
much appreciated and enjoyed by all those who attended.

We don't have a final accounting yet but we estimate that the profits
will be between three and four thousand dollars. Raising money is
great but a very important part of the event was the chance to
socialize in a multigenerational crowd (attendees ranged in age from
elementary school age to those in their seventies and beyond!) and to
see what a positive impact the performing arts can have in everyone's
life. CCPOPS is alive and well and will continue to support the
students as they participate in these activities in high school and, we
hope, for the rest of their lives.

Special thanks to all those who donated desserts - they were truly
spectacular (and delicious!). A few plates are on Margaret Coughlin's
side porch at 40 Partridge Lane in Concord ready for pick up. Those
that are labeled are Gorman, Daigle, Kurzon, Abbott, Cannon, and
Paleologos - also one glass plate unmarked and two plastic plates
unmarked.

Thanks again to everyone and don't forget that coming up in the next
two weeks are the Chorus Concert on the 26th and Dracula on November 4,
5 and 6.
