Here's an event going on in Chicago Tonight (Monday Night),

I'm the writer/director and a performer for the comedy portion of the show,

Chicagoans for Civil Liberties
presents a
Bill of Rights Birthday Bash!


Celebrate the Ratification of the Bill of Rights
with Poetry, Comedy, Music and Fun


December 15, 2008 6-11pm

at the Abbey Pub
3420 W Grace St, Chicago, IL 60618


$15 for a full night of entertainment and a buffet


proceeds are donated to the Bill of Rights Defense Committee


The Birthday Bash includes:
+ from 6-9pm
poets Kevin Coval and Andrea Stevenson
the improv/sketch troupe The Posse Billities
video artist Eden Roemer


+ from 9pm on - the House Music band Madd Soul with DJ FLX


Kevin Coval is the co-founder of Louder Than a Bomb: The Chicago Teen Poetry Festival, the largest youth poetry festival in the world. Kevin has appeared on Russell Simmons' HBO Def Poetry Jam and is the author ofSlingshots (A Hip-Hop Poetica) and the newly released Everyday People

Madd Soul with DJ FLX
is a combination of Percussionist Louie-Louie, Trumpeter Micah Frazier,
Saxophonist Tommy Bradford performing live with up-tempo guest Chicago
House DJ FLX creating a House vibe with Latin and jazz influences. Madd
Soul has performed at The Winter Music Conference in Miami and in venues throughout Chicago.

The Posse Billities, an Improv/Sketch troupe directed by Andrew Ritter presented by Collective Action Productions, brings to the show Second City experience and Daily Show comedic relevancy.

Eden Roemer is a video artist with work shown in Chicagoland venues and on YouTube.

Andrea Stevenson is a Chicago Poet and TV Show Host of Inner Rhythms
