I am beginning to wonder if a system that monetizes our fundamental
interactions with one another is a major obstacle to peace, justice,
and sustainability.
It's like industrial society, which made huge gains possible but at
prodigious and unsustainable cost to our planetary support system,
deadly to other species and to indigenous races of homo sapiens.
Consider Derrick Jensen's "Endgame", The Premises:
Premise One: Civilization is not and can never be sustainable. This
is especially true for industrial civilization.
