Did Kucinich's indictment/impeachment for Cheney also make it into the Congressional Record?

Hope so...

UPDATE
The AP reports that in a 251-166 vote, "House members dispatched the measure to a committee on Wednesday - a procedure often used to kill legislation."

Kucinich, upon introducing his articles of impeachment Monday evening, insisted on reading the resolution into the Congressional Record, a process that took nearly five hours. He finished reading it late yesterday after the close of legislative business.
As they have previously, Democratic leaders staunchly oppose Kucinich's impeachment effort. They expect to table the resolution by referring it to the Judiciary Committee, where they expect it to die....

Hi Jay,

This is a very important question. I didn't know this until I saw the
interview on C-SPAN (Washington Journal) this morning with the Editor of
"The Hill." He explained it, but unfortunately I didn't give it my full
attention. It has something to do with the way Kucinich introduced the
bill using a special prioritization procedure that enabled him to bypass
normal channels. I think he did this to bypass Pelosi, but I couldn't say
for sure. Anyway, I think the source is reliable. If you want to see it
for yourself, I think C-SPAN repeats Washington Journal at some point
during the day. The interview was the very first part of the show this
morning that aired at 6:00am Central Time.

Cheers,
Robin

Hi, Robin--

Do you have a source on that? I'm no scholar of congressional procedure but
I think a bill has to go to committee and be voted out of it, meaning a
majority of the committee(s) has to approve it before it goes to the floor
of the House. Maybe there's a committee vote today? I'm skeptical of that
too, though, since one of the means of blocking any impeachment effort has
been to refuse to set up committee hearings. But like I said, I don't
follow all that down to the nits and grits so maybe someone else can find
out what's going on here....

Hello Folks,

Hopefully, all of you get your news from somewhere other than main stream
media. If not, you may not be aware that a bill to impeach Bush (35
counts) was introduced on Monday by Dennis Kucinich. This bill will be
going to vote TODAY. Please call your Congressional Representative to tell
them you support this bill.

Thanks,
Robin
