[CitizensTruth] cows ruined the tomatoes

Dan,
Thanks so much for sharing these details! I'd like to add that if you're
looking for the kinds of foods of which Dan speaks, you can go to the
Weston A. Price Foundation's website to find a chapter near you. Chapter
leaders of this organization make it their business to know about these
kinds of foods in your local area. For a list of what's available in
northern Illinois, go to
http://www.westonaprice-elgin.org/Pages/Resources.html. Please keep in
mind that all the dairy listed on this site is RAW. It is not advertised
as such to protect the farmers from harassment (It was a rude awakening for
me to find out that one of Mother Nature's purest foods had become
contraband). All the sources of food on this website meet the criteria Dan
has outlined. Also, if you know of a producer that should be listed,
please email me the details and I will add their information.
If you want to look at the stranglehold big corporations have over Illinois
agriculture, check out www.illinoisagriculturevision.org. Be sure to look
at the current vision at
http://www.illinoisagriculturevision.org/files/final4-28-08.pdf. It's sad
that profitability is the driving force behind our state's vision for
agriculture. Pretty short sighted if you ask me.
To add a few more details to Dan's information, not only does this acidic
environment allow salmonella to run rampant, but that is also EXACTLY why
e-coli is such a problem. Normal e-coli present in everyone's bowel is
highly sensitive to acid and CANNOT survive the trip through the normal
human stomach which should have about a pH of 2 when it's been presented
with food (basically a pH of battery acid). One should wonder then how
this new strain of e-coli can survive that. It is because this new strain
of acid-resistant e-coli came about in response to this nasty CAFO
(concentrated animal feedlot operation) model of creating sick animals.
Cheers,
Robin

Cow Sh** has been in veggies for as long as there have been cows. It is
fertilizer, just as is pretty much every kind of SH**.
As a matter of fact, letting all that SH** and petroleum fertilizer run
off onto the oceans is what causes thousands of miles of dead zones
around the mouth of every river on the continent, and exacerbates red
tide, an organism that poisons shell fish and our coastal neighbors who
eat them unknowingly. I know, I read all about it in the Sanibel Island
newspaper.
However, cows are not evolved to eat grains. They are evolved to eat
GRASS. When cows are fed grain instead of grass, they become sickly and
have the cow equivalent of acid stomach. Before grain-fed cows,
salmonella would be killed off by the cows' stomach acid, but now the
stomach acid is weaker and higher up in the cows' digestive tract, which
has bred acid-resistant salmonella. Now the salmonella makes it all the
way through the cow - and into the cow SH**. This gets it into your
veggies. This is the same thing that happened with spinach a year or two
ago. The salmonella also comes from the fact that cow SH** is getting
into the cow food. So are pieces of dead cow and other animals, but
that's another brain-wasting disease story.
Grain feeding cattle also causes the meat to be completely deficient in
omega 3 fatty acids, causing you and I to need supplements to remain
healthy.
Same for chickens, and watch the pork. It won't be long there, either I
bet.
When animals are raised in a natural setting, they are naturally healthy
and so is their fertilizer. When animals are fed un-natural diets and
treated like SH** and fed SH** then you are eating sickly,
multiply-concentrated unhealthy SH** and so are the veggies they
fertilize with.
Mother Earth News ( www.motherearthnews.com , remember them? ) had a
nice long article on exactly these subjects early this year or late last
year. It wouldn't surprise me if that article were still available online.
/*The moral of the story, Jacks & Jills? Find local producers on small
family-owned farms who feed their animals what nature evolved them to
eat and allow them enough space to have a decent life. Oh, and watch
those scrambled eggs....*/
Large-scale corporate agriculture is full of deadly SH**.
