I think this is an appropriate level of distrust.

And - the more the different squawking voices of our mass media get  
together on a single interpretation of things, the more suspicious I  
get. Tibet is a recent example. And there are warning signs about Iran.

After experiencing freedom of thought - digging up bits of truth  
outside the media bubble on any suppressed issue will do it - it  
becomes downright irritating when when the propaganda machine starts  
telling everybody what to think.
