Cook County results delayed by glitch

CHICAGO - Voting results were delayed in Illinois' largest
county because of a temporary glitch that officials say has been
resolved.
Spokeswoman Courtney Greve says the Cook County Board of
Elections couldn't produce election results reports for about an
hour Tuesday. She says individual voting records are safe, but
computers couldn't produce cumulative totals.
County Clerk David Orr says technicians examined and tested
electronic voting machines in the days up to the election.
Orr expects turnout to top 80 percent. The county hit a new high
for registered voters in the run up to the election, with 1.4
million on the ro
