[CitizensTruth] FYI - my brother Larry is the Libertarian candidate for US Senate against Durbin this fall

Hi Dan,

Thanks for sharing this. I personally am Green/Libertarian (or is it
Libertarian/Green). As I have said before, sometimes I feel like I've been
forced to become a schizophrenic voter. My dream ticket would have been
Ron Paul for President and Dennis Kucinich for VP with an appointment of
Cynthia McKinney for Secretary of State. I have felt for a long time that
our Constitution contains everything we need to protect the environment and
create social justice, it's just that we have refused to use it in that
manner.

Instead, we have created these regulatory bodies to take the hard work away
from us. Bodies like the FDA, USDA, and the EPA. These have all become
nothing but tools in the hands of our corporatocracy (or is it fascism?).
Heck, the Illinois EPA is single-handedly responsible for poisoning every
Illinois citizen with fluoride, all in the name of preventing tooth decay.
Since when should a regulatory body be responsible for my teeth? I'd
prefer to manage my own teeth thank you very much. I'd do it with raw milk
rather than rat poison, but these regulatory bodies have made it nearly
impossible to obtain raw milk in Illinois. My observation tells me
regulation always becomes the tool of the fascist.

Anyway, I think our salvation lies in the marriage of the Green ideology
with the Libertarian limited government ideology, so your brother sounds
like a great option against Durbin.

Cheers,
Robin

All,

While I really only agree with the anti-war, clean elections, and civil
liberties portions of the Libertarian platform, at least I know he's
honest and willing to listen to me. (My views are Progressive/Green)

Many times, we've been able to come up with solution ideas that allow
Libertarian principles to coexist with Progressive social solutions.

While I would prefer the Green platform, or even better Dennis
Kucinich's platform from 2004, the irony is that access to my Senator
would be far greater if my own brother won. Go figure. (If he does win,
he is going to have one SERIOUS Progressive bug in his ear!)

I'm not telling anyone on this list to vote for him, that's your
decision, but I at least wanted all of you to know the option exists.

His campaign web site is: http://www.stafford4senate.com/

I've said my piece, you won't hear more from me on this.

Regards,

Dan Stafford
