We have seen 8 years of a president who does not care about the truth  
value of anything he says, and an entire administration following  
suit. Now it's coming at us again with McCain and Palin. This is  
truly creepy. Government is amoral and threatens more of the same;  
worse, many of the governed don't know or don't care.

... Until two weeks ago, it would have been hard to believe that any  
political figure would have had the audacity to step into the  
national spotlight by telling the bald-faced lies that Alaska Gov.  
Sarah Palin has. Yet, many Americans have embraced her  
enthusiastically and don't want to hear anything negative about her...
But McCain now has his own long trail of stunning lies, both about  
his opponent Barack Obama and McCain's dubious reputation for clean  
politics.
