FIRST my Comment:  It doesn't have to be this way if we require to 
Congress to finally assume it's duty to issue debt "free" money, with at 
least half of the newly created money coming about to serve the needs 
of  local governments - ending pork as we know it. but maybe we'll have

This is a global game in which one country is played off against another 
and regular citizens are patsies. When China began to put out word that 
it would begin to dump US dollars, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae were 
bailed out. Bondholders in China remained whole, while US shareholders 
got nothing. Interestingly enough, Lehman Bros. was allowed to fail, and 
it coincidentally had a few hundred billion dollars worth of bonds with 
Hugo Chavez of Venezuela.

What Paulson wants, and will likely get, is immunity and a "giant 
laundry mat" due to a "neutered" Senate and Congress, and a citizenry 
abused not only by a Congress - who in combination fail to enforce the 
Constitution or stand up to the administration - but also by a corporate 
media with no interest in serving the needs of the people.
