Hal, Mike, and Everyone,

I believe you may be right, Hal, about Roskum's motivations; however, there 
is not a single mention of eating nutrient-dense foods or building the 
body's natural immunity.  Just as ignorance of the law doesn't get us 
excused if we break the law, remaining unconscious about the issues a 
politician addresses doesn't sit well with me either. Notice how cleverly 
Roskum makes sure to tell us we need a "health care provider" in order to 
make a good judgement about what is best for us.  This is cleverly designed 
disempowerment.  When someone inquires to a politician about swine flu, I'm 
going to bet they weren't asking for his health advice, but his legal 
advice.  Looks like bait and switch to me.

Cynical explanations are plentiful and I have little political common
ground with Roskum, but I would not be surprised if his latest
bulletin is in response to concerned inquiries to his office.
