Well, Hal, you know me and how I tend to rely on Cayce to answer these 
niggling questions.  Here's a quote from a reading given in 1937 for a 13 
year old boy who was suffering from symptoms of TB and gastrointestinal 
problems.  There is speculation that Cayce was referring specifically to 
vaccinations in this reading:

"Yes - we have the body, [1123]. Now, as we find, there are very definite 
disturbances in the physical forces of this body. As we find, these have 
arisen from properties as were injected for preventions in the physical 
reactions of the body....

Of course it goes on to give many more details that I won't bore you with 
here and, it also recommended a treatment protocol which apparently was 
applied to a successful outcome.

So, yes, this is quite anecdotal, but in my mind more reliable than 
anything out there that's peer-reviewed. ;-)

Also, I would encourage you to attend or listen to online lectures given by 
Dr. Meyer Eisenstein of Homefirst Health Services in Rolling Meadows 
(http://homefirst.com/).  They have never vaccinated any one of their 
babies they have delivered and have NO cases of autism in their practice. 
 Anecdotal, yes, but also quite impressive (especially given the current 
rate of autism is 1 in 130 babies).  You'd like Meyer, he is a Physician 
and an Attorney with an incredibly gifted intellect.  He also had the 
privilege of being taught in Medical School by Dr. Robert Mendelsohn who 
was the author of "Confessions of a Medical Heretic."

What is all this about? Is there non-anecdotal evidence to support the
anti-vaccine stuff?

It took humanity thousands of years to move from superstition and
other pre-rational gyrations to evidence-based medicine.

increase in vaccine refusal in the United States and of geographic
clustering of refusals that results in outbreaks. Children with
exemptions from school immunization requirements (a measure of vaccine
refusal) are at increased risk for measles and pertussis and can
infect others who are too young to be vaccinated, cannot be vaccinated
for medical reasons, or were vaccinated but did not have a sufficient
immunologic response...
