The topic is health insurance, but it could just as easily be public  
works, gearing up for sustainable energy, healing and protecting the  
environment, relocalizing our economy, dealing with peak oil/soil/ 
water etc.

I think there are good reasons people shift toward either libertarian  
or liberal (or you could say anarchist vs. socialist to be  
inflammatory) poles.
