<h1>Cook County results delayed by glitch</h1>

            CHICAGO - Voting results were delayed in Illinois' largest

county because of a temporary glitch that officials say has been

resolved.

<br><br>Spokeswoman Courtney Greve says the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" href="http://www.chicagotribune.com/topic/politics/local-authority/cook-county-board-ORGOV000084.topic" title="Cook County Board" id="ORGOV000084">Cook County Board</a> of

Elections couldn't produce election results reports for about an

hour Tuesday. She says individual voting records are safe, but

computers couldn't produce cumulative totals.

<br><br>County Clerk David Orr says technicians examined and tested

electronic voting machines in the days up to the election.

<br><br>Orr expects turnout to top 80 percent. The county hit a new high

for registered voters in the run up to the election, with 1.4
