Hi ISCA Members,

Just uploaded a new lesson in the Global Library for ISCA Members.

https://read.swimisca.org/courses/global-library-for-isca-members/lessons/social-justice-taking-a-knee-before-a-sporting-event/

NFL player, quarterback of the SF 49ers, Colin Kaepernick, took a knee in
games to start the 2016 season that jump-started discussions on race and
police brutality in the wake of deaths of black men.

Dave Zirin just released a book and talks about the movement that has
engaged many athletes and teams since then.

The podcast goes for more than an hour, but here are 20-minutes of powerful
expressions and insights about social justice and sports.

Give a listen.

Let us know if you have you encountered any athletes taking a knee at the
time of the national anthem.

Peace!
