The
Mosaic Ensemble performs Arabic, Turkish, Greek, & Armenian music
at festivals, concerts, nightclubs, etc. Frederick Elias, virtuoso
violinist, is of Lebanese heritage. Trained at the Boston Conservatory
of Music, he combines his knowledge of Western classical and popular
music with his love for Arabic, Greek and Armenian music. Freddy has
pleased audiences for almost six decades. He has appeared at Lincoln
Center in New York and the Chicago Opera House, enjoyed a two-year
stint in Las Vegas, and performed for King Saud and Prince Khalid of
Saudi Arabia. Mike Gregian is a master musician with 35 years of
professional experience, performing at belly dance hot spots, including
the Averof, the Athenian Corner and the Middle East Restaurant. Hes a
drummer (Middle Eastern, Greek and Armenian) as well as clarinetist and
saxophonist. Costa Maniatakos has played oud with the Ensemble for over
a decade.
