Come to the Parade!
Celebrate the Qudricentennial of Lake Cahmplain!
Saturday, July 11, 5 PM. Burlington, VT.
Main St from S. Union to the Waterfront.
There are all kinds of other things happening in Burlington today, and most
of them are FREE!!!

Thirty choreographers were chosen to present works in the Parade. One of
them was ALIA.

For three weeks, 20 brave belly dancers have been rehearsing like mad. Five
rhythms, five groups, in five locations: Belly dancers of all ages and skill
levels, from across Vermont and beyond, have come together for this event.

THANK YOU teamleaders Jennifer (Ysmia) and Hannah Rudy,Travis Shores, and
ALL the dancers and drummers for your time and dedication.

Each group chose a rhythm, contributed ideas, and created a staged section
for their rhythm and a processional sequence for the entire rhythm cycle.
Alia’s artistic direction provided the framework for the production, united
these elements, and set them in a cohesive whole. Live drumming coordinated
by Travis Shores makes th whole production come alive!

NOW IT'S ON!!!

Come party with us!
TODAY!
Saturday, July 11, 5 PM. Burlington, VT.
Main St from S. Union to the Waterfront.

We are #40, right behind Jeh Kulu. There are 80 GROUPS in the parade,
including Burlington Taiko, Bread and Puppet, and many, many more. It's a
big, wild, once in 400 years event.

Full day event listing is below. See you at the PARADE!

Love,
Alia
