Well, the survey has spoken. Some of it is loud and clear, and some of<br>
it - isn't.<br>
<br>
Here's the clear part:<br>
People want mixed level and advanced classes about 50-50.<br>
Improvisation skills and classic oriental tied for first place, with<br>
performance skills coming in second, and dance construction in third.<br>
People clearly prefer combinations and fragments to full choreos.<br>
<br>
The unclear part:<br>
Pretty much every single person wanted different days/times/places/levels.<br>
<br>
***SO if you haven't taken the survey yet, please let your wishes count!***<br>

My solutions so far:<br>
* Continue weekly mixed-level classes in STJ. Possibly offer an<br>
inter/adv class, but post available times/days first to see if there<br>
is interest.<br>
<br>
* Offer workshops (rather than weekly classes) in other areas, maybe<br>
once or twice a month. These can be weekends, or Monday or Friday<br>
evenings.<br>
<br>
The structure could be first half mixed level, second half<br>
intermediate/advanced, so folks can sign up for one or both. As<br>
always, people are welcome to self-select their level. Price will<br>
probably be around $20 per class hour. It will be worth it.<br>
<br>
I'm here until the end of December and that's it until spring. I want<br>
to teach classes. You want to take them. Please take the initiative!<br>
Find a space and coordinate the event. Help promote it. I will provide<br>
flyers, info, etc. I will provide electronic signup. We agree on a<br>
minimum run size. You get a free workshop, and I get to show up and do<br>
my thing! What could be sweeter?<br>
