You're not looking very closely then. In fact, Windows CE (PocketPC) has it
built right into the socket layer! Cell phones, I don't know, but any MS
based PDA certainly should have the ability.
Also about SSL keys. People need to do some homework! You either have a paid
for a cert, or a self-signed? So I suppose there is no way to get a free
signing? Hmm, what about S/MIME. Most email clients support this feature. So
I suppose, to use S/MIME, I need to go pay for a cert? Do you think most
people are going to go purchase a cert to send email? Probably not, that's
why Thawte invented the "Freemail certificate." They sign it, you don't pay a
thing. The same cert could be used for DCC.
I don't see why, if keys were acceptable for email (which is _much_ more
widespread than DCC), why it is no good for DCC.
