[DesignII] version 9.53 of DESIGN II for Windows

This email is to notify you that version 9.53 of DESIGN II for 
Windows is now available on our website at www.winsim.com/download.html .

This is a maintenance release of DESIGN II for Windows.  This new
release has the following changes:

1. Added a new command WATer FLAsh OFF which turns off the three 
   phase flash calculations and converts the simulator back to a 
   two phase plus free water flash. This has to be used with the 
   old THREE PHAse OFF command which has been re-enabled (it was
   disabled in version 9.50). 
2. Added the new WATer FLAsh OFF command to the "water calculations"
   box in the Advanced Thermodynamics tab on the thermodynamics dialog
3. Enabled user interface to detect and caution users when flash 
   and Distil 1 & other modules are oriented up side down 
4. Fixed the use of Tabular K-values in isolated recycle convergence
   problems using two phase plus free water thermodynamics 
5. Added new liquid heat capacity curves for piperazine along with
   heat of mixing approximation for piperazine/MDEA mixtures 
6. Updated the high pressure vapor thermal conductivity calculations
   (pressure greater than 50 psia) based on API technical book 2nd
   edition figure 12b4.1. Also updated low pressure predictions using
   6th edition API Technical data book. 
7. Fixed the stream data import for more than 99 crude cuts on the
   stream dialog 
8. Miscellaneous small enhancements and fixes (see release notes
   at http://www.winsim.com/media/relnotes.chm ) 

If you are on MSS or a Program Usage Agreement, then please 
download the new version.  The new CDs should start going out in 
a couple of days.

Please note that we have a web-based tutorial for DESIGN II for
Windows at http://www.winsim.com/tutorial/index.htm .

Please note that the Password algorithm was changed for the 9.50
release.  Your new password should have been emailed to the contact
person for your account.  If you need a new password, please 
contact support at winsim.com with your serial number for your new
password if you are on MSS or a Usage agreement.

You may testdrive the new release by downloading it (65 MB) from 
our website and installing it.	Run DESIGN II for Windows and a 
dialog will come up with your Computer ID and ask you for a Serial
Number and Password.  You can get a Serial Number and Password
emailed to you from www.winsim.com/gen2wkps.html on a 24 hour a
day, 7 days a week basis.
