This is a release of DESIGN II for Windows. This new release has the following changes: 1. Significantly improved calculation of the bubble point temperature for three phase mixtures 2. Added display of suggested pipe diameter to the flowsheet stream results display and stream data box 3. Added printing of the calculated recycle tolerance to the simulation results 4. Added line pack (volume of gas) calculations in the line module at average pressure 5. Added support for dynamic viscosity units in the crude stream viscosity dialog 6. Fixed the Depressurizer plot generation when using non US dimensional units for the proper Time and Pressure axis scales 7. Improved air cooler rating convergence under certain situations 8. Added a new Divided Wall Column flowsheet to the sample flowsheets 9. Miscellaneous small enhancements and fixes (see release notes www.winsim.com/media/relnotes.chm ) If you are on MSS or a Program Usage Agreement, then please download the new version. The new CDs should start going out in a couple of days. Please note that we have a web-based tutorial for DESIGN II for Windows at www.winsim.com/tutorial/index.htm . Please note that the Password algorithm was changed for the 10.00 release. Your new password should have been emailed to the contact person for your account. If you need a new password, please contact support at winsim.com with your serial number for your new password if you are on MSS or a Usage agreement. You may testdrive the new release by downloading it (70 MB) from our website and installing it. Run DESIGN II for Windows and a dialog will come up with your Computer ID and ask you for a Serial Number and Password. You can get a Serial Number and Password emailed to you from www.winsim.com/gen2wkps.html on a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week basis. We still have 2 or 3 spots open for the class scheduled for Friday, June 5, 2009 at 8 am. If you have an air cooler in your flowsheet and see the message "stream 0 is not an inlet of air cooler ...", you will need a patch. There is a fix for this problem at: www.winsim.com/deswin.exe . Please copy deswin.exe to your c:\designii directory. Sorry for the problem !
