/*... but those who wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength. They
will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they
will walk and not faint. -- Isaiah 40:31*/

I'm going to open with a quote from Tom Stamman's newsletter: "A 90-year
old man asked a 100-year old man how do you get to be so old? He said,
'You have to wait.'"

Waiting is something that God seems to be very good at, even when we are
not. I don't like to wait -- in line, in traffic, and, especially, in pain.

Many times for me, writing these devotionals is all about waiting. I
often don't start out with some bright idea about what to write. I just
write a line and wait.

Slowly, over the years, I have discovered that my bright ideas aren't
exactly what people need. People need the Jesus that is inside me and
inside you.

That Jesus never flew on a plane, never rode on a train, never drove a
car. Almost everywhere He went, He walked. Slowly. One step and then
another.

Every so often He paused. He looked into someone's eyes, and turned
their world upside down.

Let me encourage you. It's worth the wait. Give God the time He needs to
minister to and through you.

Be encouraged!
Dwight
