This week I want to encourage you to get to know and support the
Stendals. For over 40 years the Stendal family has faced constant danger
they've brought the Lord's healing, peace and reconciliation into a
three-way civil war in Colombia. Any amount of money you send their way
will be used wisely and will yield eternal fruit for God's kingdom.

/*Now the man Moses was a quietly humble man, more so than anyone living
on Earth. -- Numbers 12:3 The Message*/
This passage used to bug me, to tell you the truth. How arrogant! I
thought. Why does Moses brag about his humility?
But now I better understand why it was important for us to know this
about the leader, Moses.
It is easy to assume -- especially if we've been burnt by people in
authority -- that people who hold lots of power are power hungry. But
here Moses shows us a different paradigm. Moses was happy to share
blessing and power with others. He wanted all of God's people to be
prophets just like he was. He understood that leading 600,000 men plus
women and children was a huge responsibility -- a bigger job than he
wanted. Moses had no ambition for personal glory.
God is looking for leaders like Moses. Leaders who aren't in love with
power, but with God. Leaders who use their authority to serve the people
instead of themselves. These are the kinds of leaders God prefers to
choose.
Power is a tool - a gift from God. In the hands of the humble, it will
nurture and heal.
Be encouraged!
Dwight
