[Discoveries] 06-04-07 Make room

Did you ever stop to think of things from God's point of view. Here He 
is, limitless love, wanting to pour Himself out into our lives. There's 
only one problem: our limited capacity to receive. So what does God do? 
He increases our capacity. He wants to give us more.

In this story, a woman was in a panic. Her sons were about to sold into 
slavery to cover her late husband's debt. She had nothing -- no money, 
no power, and very little hope. But God said, "I can turn this around 
for you and give you more than could ask or imagine. But, to do that, we 
need to increase your capacity to receive." (No, you won't find those 
words in this passage, but I'm reading between the lines.) The prophet 
told her to go and ask her neighbors for empty jars. She needed 
something to contain the miracle. A lot of something.

This is what God does. He turns things around. And when He does, He does 
it in a big way. Make room for God's love -- make lots of room.
