The Lord brings me back to this question again and again. Sometimes I've 
been so beat up or so distracted that I can't remember what I want the 
Lord to do for me. I can't bring it into focus.

But the Lord doesn't let go of the question.

Today my wife sent me to the grocery store. She didn't say, "Go get some 
groceries." I asked her to make a list, and I took it with me to the 
store. While I was there, I saw a few other things I thought she might 
like and so I got everything on the list, plus a bit more.

I can grocery shop, but the list made the trip successful.

What do you want?

I sense the Lord is asking all of us this question. We give Him our 
list. Then sometimes He takes us through a time of refining and we 
realize that we don't want what we thought we wanted. He enables us to 
grow, and we start wanting something better, something grander, nobler, 
more worthy of the God we serve.

The Lord is right here. Think about it and let Him know: What do you want?
