What is lacking in the sufferings of Christ?

Is it brutality? No. There was no shortage of cruelty, hatred, contempt 
and indifference.

Atonement? No, Jesus paid the full and terrible cost of sin. To add our 
own sacrifice only cheapens the grace of God.

So what is lacking? Think about it. More tomorrow.
