She has been a great boat but it is time to make a decision. I have a major cabin top delamination project to tackle. Do I sell or do I repair? Well she is part of the family so here we go. Here are some pictures, more to come. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... In-Reply-To: <302083.4004.qm@web35402.mail.mud.yahoo.com> Message-ID: Chuck, Hard question. Some questions to ponder, what are the chances of being able to sell her with the amount of work that needs to be done? Can you do the work yourself, amount of time, dollars? As an aside, there is at least one other WindShadow on the Great Lakes. My wife and I own a 76 - 32 ft Ericson, aptly named Windshadow, which we sail out of Muskegon, MI on Lake Michigan. Best of luck, wish I could give you a more definitive answer. Maybe someone else out there will be of more help. Your question is one that needs to be addressed to the general membership, as I myself do not possess the experience in that particular area (although I can tell you we have an army of E35-2 owners, all of whom will encourage you to keep the boat). To do this, I suggest you post your question in a thread to the appropriate forum - and it's very likely you'll receive a response from several of the other members. To post a thread, you must have registered on the site. I am attaching a text file (Post and Reply.txt) which outlines how to create an account on the site and post a question/thread. If you have already created an account, you would begin at step #5. Please let me know if I can be of additional assistance - and thanks very much for your continued interest and support of www.EricsonYachts.org! //sse ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sean Shannon Engle Admin, http://www.EricsonYachts.org admin at ericsonyachts.org _____ From: ericsonyachtsml-bounces at ericsonyachts.org [mailto:ericsonyachtsml-bounces at ericsonyachts.org] On Behalf Of chuck duer Sent: Sunday, January 11, 2009 10:21 AM To: ericsonyachtsml at ericsonyachts.org Subject: [EricsonYachtsML] Got Core? cduer Windshadow Ericson 35-2 hull#0229 I have been sailing Windshadow for 14 years on Lake Erie. Might have to give it away, given unfinished project.... Nice boat, if you press on and rebuild the deck. Finish up with an LPU paint job and put all the hardware back on. Then plan on sailing the boat another decade to amortize out some of the time and money. It's not an easy decision.
