"Why I go to work"

I'm a Paramedic, and even though there are not very many people out there
that understand EMS and the importance of this field, I know that I go to
work for the follow reasons,
first I know that God sent me in this field and told me this is where I'm
supposed to be.
second is that I know that some where I make a difference in someone's life
even if its just riding in the back of the ambulance with the patient and
holding their hand for comfort. As well as the fact that there are times
when they actually say "thank you". But most of all it's the fact that I can
help someone in many different ways; medically, mentally, physically. The
gratification is my own.
Just knowing that anyone in the medical field is important even if the
public doesn't know why or think that way. I do my very best to make a
difference the best way I know how and try to put that confidence in the
people I transport for any reason whatsoever.
