Orientation duration

Our orientatation for our RT's is 14 weeks for transport alone, with 
additional time in PICU or NICU if they lack either experiences.  And 
again it is based on past medical experience, current transport 
experience, and compentency towards the end of the 14 weeks, this can 
either shorten or lengthen the orientation.
Our base requirements are 2-3  years peds or neo experiences.

It varies greatly, depending on background.  We don't interview anyone 
without a minimum of 4+ years tertiary level icu - trauma center 
experience.  Minimally it's 3 months which includes orientation in our 
icu (which ever they don't already have experience in).  Flight 
training both fixed and rotor is on top of that.
