It is our policy that all infants under 5 kg must be transported in an isolette. Over 5 kg we use a Pedi-mate on a stretcher.

Subject: isolette transports - non neonate question
Greetings - I'm looking for input on how other teams transport little ones (not in the nursery/NICU), but from the ER/peds floors (i.e. kid is a few weeks old, but still "little" - Especially for those under 10 or so pounds, do you bring an isolette vs. porta-warmers & pedi-mates? Any experiences welcomed
thanx!
