isolette transports - non neonate question

I have always used an insolette for any infant under 5kg.  The issue came up when we hit RSV season and there was potential for infectious transfer.  We ended up designating one of our isolettes as the "dirty" one and did not take newborns in that one.

Subject: isolette transports - non neonate question

Greetings - I'm looking for input on how other teams transport little
ones (not in the nursery/NICU), but from the ER/peds floors (i.e. kid is a few
weeks old, but still "little" - Especially for those under 10 or so
pounds, do you bring an isolette vs. porta-warmers & pedi-mates? Any
experiences welcomed
thanx!
