Dr Ira Blumen, out of Chicago (ironically), Is working on a multi-year data
analysis plan that has some FAA and industry backing.  I would wait with
great anticipation of his results.

I have asked the same thing and do not think that there is good enough data
or tracking of ambulance crashes.
