Istvan,

Is there an approximate date for availability of the hardware?

Henry

Hi Jan and All,

Glad you like it :)

You can already download the software - currently beta 3, but beta 4 will
probably be out this week - at:
http://www.softpres.org/news:2010-02-19

Our main goal has been preservation for the past 9 years and remains so, in
fact we've preserved 3000 Amiga games in their unaltered, factory new/gold
master state.

We plan to extend this effort to ALL (disk based) platforms, and KryoFlux is
an important part of making that to happen.
Simply backing up disks (in any format) does not guarantee preservation,
disks should be checked for authenticity (original, not modified in any way)
and integrity (data is correct) as well - both for which we have technology
developed throughout the past 9 years.

We've come to the point with our project that it needs to be a dedicated
full-time job; however this is something that we simply can't afford to do
without the support of the communities, institutes and organizations, both
financial as well as material help is needed.

We'd truly appreciate any help we could get.

Feel free to get in touch if you have any specific questions and would like
to contribute in any way.

Kind regards,
Istvan
