They're very proprietary. There's a few more then them titles too, I
can't remember specific ones but some article I read a few years ago
detailed some closures.<br>

Well, also, good luck getting the not-quite-latest sports games to work
after a while too. EA etc. just shut off the old servers I think.<br>

Tough to get anything sorted for it before they close, especially if
it's done in only certain regions as MMO's and online games tend to be.
If we only had lots of money to buy every game when it was released and
get footage, experience information from it before the inevitable :)<br>

<div>A few other multiplayer online games like PSO, Metal Gear
Online, and Resident Evil: Outbreak all had online components. Due to
the closed nature of console gaming, it seems like it would be a lot
harder to preserve online console play, though there could certainly be
some hacks like Warp Pipe for Gamecube.<br clear="all">
