Dear Japanophiles,
We didn't offer any sales last week, so we've decided to throw a
bigger one than usual this week with lucky 7 products on sale.
Products remain on sale this week unless sold out:
ABC Etymological Dictionary of Old Chinese
This is the first genuine etymological dictionary of Old Chinese
written in any language. As such, it constitutes a milestone in
research on the evolution of the Sinitic language group. Whereas
previous studies have emphasized the structure of the Chinese
characters, this pathbreaking dictionary places primary emphasis on
the sounds and meaning of Sinitic roots. ( 5 available. )

The Japanese House
As we step behind the lens with Murata, we're witness to the unique
Japanese aesthetic, to the simple proportions modeled after the
square of the tatami mat; to refined, rustic decor; to earthy
materials like wood, paper, straw, ceramics, and textiles. This is a
glorious house-tour readers can return to again and again, for ideas,
inspiration, or simply admiration. ( 3 available. )

Kanji Cafe's SODER Project News
The Stroke Order Diagram Editor-Retrographer (SODER) project added
over 100 new stroke order diagrams to Ice Mocha this week bringing
the total number on display to over 1,624. This is the first
substantial progress since the release of the 3rd edition. The 4th
release of 2,000 animations and 2,000 drawings will be made available
to your favorite Japanese language learning web site and software
after much more pain and struggle. All of the new diagrams added
have been either 10, 11 or 12 stroke. Not trivial work.
