This is pretty much the same as asking whether GPS time will remain
close to (TAI - 19 s), and in a sense, whether it's okay to use GPS
time as a proxy for TAI.

It boils down to asking whether the US DoD intends to continue to
comply with international standards, and if so, how accurately.

We have seen that the international timekeepers of the BIPM get livid
when someone suggests that GPS time could be used in an official sense.
The IERS seems to be a bit more mellow.
