That seems a little too close to "anus"... it might encourage people 
to get anal about it!

You've actually got similar confusion in Spanish, where if you lazily 
type a sentence like "Tengo 17 años" without using the non-ASCII 
special character, and write "Tengo 17 anos" instead, you're actually 
saying you have 17 anuses (and the sentence actually gets translated 
that way if you feed it into an automated translator; that's a common 
problem when trying to translate messages from Spanish-language web 
forums).
