Extending this, of all these systems which depend on the radio
broadcast time signals (or internet reconstructions of them)
not one cares what name is used by humans referring to the signals.


>From the 1960s thru the 1970s the resolutions and recommendations from

IAU, CCDS, CGPM, CCIR made it clear that the phrase "Universal Time"
is a proper name for mean solar time (a subdivision of calendar days)
and that Coordinated Universal Time is a form of atomic time that
serves both purposes.  In 1978 the CCIR disbanded its special working
group with the pronouncement that the problems were solved.  That
shortsightedness was a "Failure of Imagination" that puts the ITU-R
process to shame.
