This misses the point. Everything that the U.S. Government does requires the annual support of Congress. Everything except entitlements are subject to annual appropriations. And Congress ultimately reflects the wants of the citizens.
If a Government function is important to you, you should let your representative know—just as you should if you felt a Government activity was unnecessary and wasteful. How else are they supposed to make good decisions?
