Implicit Link Names

I guess I just don't see the problem.  What I want to avoid is things 
like this:

	I just searched [Google][Google] for information about [dogs][dogs].
	
	[Google]: http://google.com
	[dogs]: http://www.google.com/search?q=dogs

To me it seems more intuitive to do this:
	I just searched [Google] for information about [dogs].

which is also more legible than this:
	I just searched [Google][] for information about [dogs][].

I don't believe that [text in brackets] is that common outside of the 
cited usages (email footnotes, MD links) that it would cause a problem.

I think I'm missing something here.  How do you want/expect this to 
behave?
