Actually, if we're not going to go for the [super-minimal approach], then I
vote for keeping the [current link syntax][] as is and just move on.
It's quite readable and and it has two advantages over [[all]] [the]=
[other]~ [alternatives]-> [suggested]__ to date:
1) It is already implemented, and the lot of us have been using it in our
own documents. No need to learn new tricks.
2) It is nicely consistent with the [explicit link reference][1] syntax
which makes it easier to learn and more readable/understandable for everyone
reading Markdown documents.
...just my 2 bits.
