I decided to follow the move John has made... but please let me some 
hours to digest the new Perl version, the MarkdownTest script and the 
license change. :-)

The next release of PHP Markdown will be BSD-licensed. I don't see any 
reason to keep PHP Markdown under a GPL license now that the original 
base in Perl is now available under BSD.

I will be quite busy until Thursday so don't expect a new version 
before then.
